View AnswerThe Jazzy brand offers several top-rated power wheelchairs tailored to specific user needs, primarily the Jazzy Elite HD and the Jazzy Carbon.
Jazzy Elite HD This heavy-duty model is highly reviewed for its stability, comfort, and robust construction. It is designed for bariatric support with a weight capacity of up to 450 pounds. Key performance features include a top speed of 4 mph, a driving range of up to 22 miles per charge, and a 25.75-inch turning radius. While it offers superior durability for varied terrain, it is heavier and has a wider turning radius than portable models.
Jazzy Carbon This model is specialized for travel and portability. It uses a lightweight carbon fiber frame, weighing under 50 pounds (with a transport weight of 43.6 lbs). It is airline-compliant, supports up to 300 pounds, and features a tight 20-inch turning radius. It is reviewed as a superior option for frequent travelers compared to the Passport model due to its ultra-portability and ability to handle 20-degree inclines.
Both models are Medicare-approved when medical necessity is documented. MedEquipped provides expert assistance with these wheelchairs, including clinical evaluations by certified ATP evaluators, custom fittings, and insurance navigation, with a typical delivery timeline of 30-60 days.
